KONTAKT by Michael Vorfeld::TRACING SOUTH by Alessandra Eramo

25/27.04.2019

KONTAKT is a site specific light installation by artist/musician Michael Vorfeld in which the illumination of multiple incandescent bulbs is controlled by a mutually dependent and reactive electrical circuit. Groups of multi-coloured bulbs light up in short bursts, creating a constantly changing rhythmical structure. KONTAKT is a luminous organism, the perpetual fluctuation of electrical input leading to ever new constellations of light.

Closing event of Michael Vorfeld ´s light installation KONTAKT
Alessandra Eramo _ will be presenting her new project “TRACING SOUTH

Her new composition “Tracing South” will be released in April 2019 as LP on Corvo Records.
A sonic enchantment where polyphonic singing, repetition, dissonance and overtones meet field recordings, analogue electronics and instruments such as the Zampogna, a bagpipe popular in southern Italy. Reflecting on the Mediterranean Sea as a human and spiritual dimension, but now also as a vast and silent migrant cemetery, Eramo’s work oscillates between the caress of tender melodies and the brutal energy of noise eruptions, pushing the listener out of the comfort zone.
